I agree with a lot in the above answers...Protein shakes are a great way to get protein in your diet whether for breakfast or just a snack. With that said, it is ALWAYS better to consume whole foods but I understand that it is not always possible to do so...especially for breakfast. Many people do not have breakfast due to time constraints or lack of desire to prepare a meal, in this case a protein drink is a great way to go. So if this works for you, continue. Most people only need 0.8 grams of protein per kg body weight...if you are body building then you need 1.0 gram of protein per kg body weight. Be sure to incorporate other protein sources into you diet as well. Protein shakes should not be your only source of protein. Being that you only filled in protein shakes for breakfast and for a post workout snack...I hope it is safe to assume that you are consuming...
